The job

The Product Manager (you) we are seeking will play a pivotal role in the Quyntess team responsible to design, extend and deliver our Quyntess Supply Chain Management apps. The Product Manager not only takes his input from the field: (Pre-)Sales and Customer Delivery, but also from his own vision, research and earlier experience. He turns this into a product roadmap and a continuously updated release planning, in close collaboration with the Application Team Leader. The Product Manager is not afraid to get his hands dirty on use cases, user stories, acceptance criteria, test plans/cases and release notes. Jointly with the Application Team Leader, he takes responsibility for promoting new releases to the sandbox and production environments. The Product Manager keeps a sharp eye on the market for competing and complementary software solutions, thus helping to ensure the Quyntess SCM apps stay ahead of the competition.

Summary of activities

    • Collect input on QT SCM apps roadmap from the field: sales and customer implementations; organize and maintain this in a structured way;
    • Take additional field input from intelligence gathered on competing and complementary software solutions;
    • Turn field input into a high level roadmap;
    • Review and prioritize roadmap in Product Management Review Board; jointly with pre-sales, customer delivery and application leader; presided by CTO;
    • Take ownership of the backlog of features and changes;
    • Understand requirements, and turn them into detailed user stories and feature requests, in collaboration with solution architect and application team leader;
    • Build and maintain release plan with application team leader;
    • Coordinate build and delivery process of individual releases with application team leader;
    • Build test plan and ensure its execution, jointly with application consultants;
    • Edit release notes.

We expect from you

  • You have a background in supply chain management oriented IT solutions, with customer facing experience;
  • You typically have a Bachelor or Master degree in Operations, Logistics or IT, preferably with focus on logistics or supply chain management;
  • You have a hands-on mentality and take pride in getting projects done successfully;
  • Experience in writing use cases or user stories;
  • Respect for structured project management and solution development, knowledge of up-to-date methodologies and techniques such as SCRUM, ITIL, Use Cases etc.
  • A personality that favors a team with multiple disciplines and international background and that is used to a work with a healthy level of pressure to perform;
  • Adequate ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in English;
  • Documents you write are in clear and precise language;
  • Highly developed interpersonal communication skills to live up to our reputation: excellence in supply chain collaboration.
